We built this because we spent two years
inside kirana stores and
couldn't look away from the problem.
Three founders. A previous company that reached ₹1.5 crore in revenue
and taught us everything about what's broken. And a very clear idea of what to build next

The full arc

"We didn't start with the idea of building a gig platform. We started by trying to sell things to kiranas. And we discovered, the hard way, that the real problem was invisible to everyone except the person standing at the shelf."
Sakshat Gandhi, CEO
Before Baylink, we built what we called "an Amazon for offline retail." The idea was simple: help small brands get discovered and stocked at kiranas at scale. We got to ₹1.5 crore in revenue. We spoke to hundreds of retailers. We understood the category structure, the distributor dynamics, the way a kirana owner thinks about margins and shelf space.
And then we hit a wall that wasn't about product-market fit. It was about the fundamental mechanics of how brands operate in offline retail. Every brand we worked with had the same problem not getting their product into stores, but having zero visibility or accountability over what happened after it got there.
The Brand had no idea
A brand would tell us their product was stocked at 300 stores. We'd visit 30 of those stores and find it in 14. At 6 of those, it was behind the counter. At 3, the price was wrong. The brand had no idea. Their TSE had filed a report. The report said everything was fine.
We pivoted. Not because the original idea was wrong, but because we'd found a deeper, more universal problem and we now had the ground-level knowledge to actually solve it. Two years in kirana stores gave us something no one else building in this space has: we've been the retailer's problem, the brand's problem, and the distributor's problem simultaneously. We know exactly why the system breaks.
Baylink is the infrastructure layer we wish had existed when we were trying to operate in this market. Verified execution. Real data. Pay for what happens. That's it.
The Saarthi

Changing how India's urban workforce earns a living

350+ Saarthis across 7 cities. Every one of them earns on their own terms, certified, skilled, and paid only for verified work
2000+
retailers network active with 15+ brands

Tiers C to Elite — earned through performance

Work on your own schedule

No fixed shifts. No geography lock-in. A Saarthi picks missions available near them, completes them when they choose, and earns per verified outcome. A student can do two missions in the morning and spend the evening studying. A homemaker can run a route on weekday afternoons. The model fits life, not the other way around

Skill is recognised and rewarded

Every Saarthi builds a per-offering tier history. A Saarthi who starts at C tier for ShelfPulse audits earns more per mission as they advance to B, A, and Elite based on accuracy scores, mission volume, and training completion. This is not informal daily-wage work. It is a structured, progressive, verifiable career

Pay is guaranteed - if the work is done right

Saarthis earn when their work is verified. That's the contract. No manager's discretion. No delayed approvals. No informal deductions. The AI either confirms the photo or it doesn't and if it does, the payout is automatic. Honest work earns predictably. That's a standard that most daily-wage work in India never achieves

Building India's most trusted field workforce

200–300 high-quality Saarthis cover all of Delhi NCR better than 2,000+ untrained field staff. That's not a staffing ratio it's what happens when you combine certification, tiered quality standards, per-offering specialisation, and a routing engine smart enough to send the right person to the right store. Saarthis at the top of this network are becoming India's most trusted field execution professionals
What We Believe

Three truths about Indian offline retail
that we've built Baylink around

80%
Offline is not going anywhere
80% of India's $180 billion FMCG market moves through 12 million small stores. The Indian consumer's relationship with their neighbourhood kirana is cultural, proximate, and permanent. We are building for the channel that will still be here in 30 years.
100%
Data that earns trust
No brand should pay for field execution based on someone's word. Every Baylink billing event requires photo proof validated by AI. This is not a feature. It is the foundation of how we think about accountability for brands and Saarthis equally
100%
Pay for outcomes
Every mission adds to the outlet intelligence layer. After 10,000 missions, we know things about 2,000 stores, stocking history, competitive landscape, order velocity that no one else has at this granularity. That data is what we are actually building
The team

Built by operators, not observers

We've worked inside the systems we're now rebuilding. That's not a tagline it's the reason the product is different
